Gerry has been recognized nationally, provincially and locally for his Environmental  Stewardship efforts especially focused on Aquatic Ecosystem Health concerns.

With a background in Cultural Anthropology, Environmental Management and Fisheries Technology he believes that Stewardship Ethics, Values and Principles need to be focused on to drive our economy and the way that we live.

Salmon Reintroduction has been a dream of the SWSS since it started to focus on the Salmo(N) River in 1998.  “The renegotiation of the Columbia River Treaty and incorporating the Canadian First Nations and US Tribes vision of Ecosystem Function is the most profound opportunity we will have in our lifetime to make real Environmental change.”
