Working for a better West Central Neighborhood
 
The Alliance, while generally supporting Marshall Chesrown’s proposed Kendall Yards development, is concerned about the impacts of adding 4,000 residents to the West Central Neighborhood.  
 
Our concerns include:
  1. ✦  increasing traffic on local streets  
  2. ✦  building a wall of apartment towers lining the river’s north rim
  3. ✦  blowing dust into the lives of families living along Bridge Street during the 20-year build-out of the project
  4. ✦  squeezing out lower-income families
  5. ✦  taxing Spokane residents unfairly while new residents skip paying property tax for several years
  6. ✦  damaging the Spokane River’s fragile riparian areas
Summit - Bridge Alliance Working for a better future for the West Central Neighborhood and the Spokane River Who we are
 
The Summit-Bridge Alliance includes residents of the West Central Neighborhood concerned about the impacts of the Kendall Yards Development.  
 
The Alliance takes its name from the two streets – Bridge and Summit – that border the neighborhood.
